About Us

Pamela Smith ABRS-ITA, BHS - “I have a wealth of practical horse experience - both riding and stable management. Having lived and worked in Great Britain for 15 years, I am accredited with the British Horse Society and the Association of British Riding Schools. We have delightful ponies from Scotland suitable for children’s lessons. Learning should be fun and above all else, I stress the importance of enjoying your horse.”

Pamela has established a wonderful reputation in this area and her approach with children receives particular commendation. She demonstrates tireless commitment to her students and horses!

Largely as a result of Pamela’s personal dedication, Serene Acres was nominated as ‘2005 Agricultural Business of the Year’ within the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce Small Business Awards.

Pamela also achieved the distinguished honor of being voted top equine coach and number 3 county wide coach in the 2005 Leesburg Today People Awards.

Paul Smith ACIB - “I bring a long established senior managerial background in banking, working latterly for an international banking group out of Europe. Both Pamela and I also have a track record of vacation rental and B&B in Scotland and we genuinely want to ensure that you enjoy your stay at Serene Acres. We’ve tried to think of everything that is important for all ages and our 4 kids have ensured that we always focus on providing a family welcome”.
